Apple Arcade will soon lose 15 games

Apple Arcade, Apple's $5 per month subscription service for games, will soon lose 15 titles. As reported by TouchArcade, there's a new section at the bottom of the Arcade tab in the App Store, titled "Arcade Leaving Soon," and it lists the games that will be removed.

When I checked the new section on my iPhone, there was no specific indication of when the games would go away (from "soon"). According to TouchArcade, the games have left Apple Arcade before, but apparently this is the first time Apple has revealed which titles are going away. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As of this writing, here is a list of games that will be leaving:

Atonement: Heart of the Big Tree
Batalsky Brigade: Harpooner
dead-end job
Do not bother me!
dread nautical
over the alps
Projection: First Light
Towaga: Among the shadows
different daily life
Apple Arcade is a big deal: For that $5 monthly fee, you get access to over 200 games with no ads or in-app purchases, and the catalog includes some big titles like Hironobu Sakaguchi's Fantasia as well. Includes classics like Jetpack Joyride and Tiny. Feather with the Apple Arcade version of the app. But Apple is now communicating that a portion of the library will be missing, and while we don't know when more games will be removed in the future, it looks like we may have to prepare for a more regular departure from the services. Kind of like Xbox Game Pass.

If you want to check out the titles that are going away, you can start playing them as soon as possible.
