Samsung's August 10 Unpacked Will Definitely Have At Least One Foldable Feature

Samsung has provided a clear solution to the unusual puzzle it provided yesterday, confirming that its Galaxy Unpacked event will indeed take place on August 10th. The image included with the teaser also confirms that its foldables will be taking center stage, with the Galaxy Z Flip-shaped device acting as the "more than" symbol. The event will begin at 9AM ET and will be streamed on Samsung.com.

With the timing of last year's Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 launches, based on cryptic hints that Samsung dropped yesterday, it was a no-brainer to assume that we'll see an updated foldable phone next month. If the phone in the invite image is indeed the Z Flip 4, then the rumors that the device will feature a minimal update appears to be accurate. It seems to feature the same size as the Flip 3, rear dual-camera setup and side-mounted power button/fingerprint scanner. We would also expect to see an update for the Z Fold 3 on the 10th, and rumors suggest it. There could be a slightly different looking camera bump as compared to its predecessor.

New Galaxy watches are also expected, and Samsung's pre-pre-order promotion mentions discounts for Galaxy phones, a combination of Watch and Buds. That's right — by supplying Samsung with just your name and email address, US customers can earn the ability to reserve preorder deals on anything the company announced in August. If you'd rather find out what Samsung has up its sleeve first, it looks like you'll have to tune in to the livestream in just a few weeks.

The Amazon Astro is a home robot that will cost $1499.99 when it goes on sale (you can request an invite to test it out now for $1,000). Designed primarily as a mobile camera for home security, it's also an Alexa smart speaker on wheels. While an innovative concept, there really isn't much this robot can do without weapons.
