Samsung Set to Unveil Galaxy Z Fold 7 with Sleeker Design and Camera Boost

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7, its latest flagship foldable smartphone, at a major event this July. The upcoming model is expected to be the thinnest foldable yet, measuring around 4.5 mm when opened. With an expanded 8.2-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover display, the Z Fold 7 aims to deliver a more immersive and practical experience for daily use.

One of the most notable upgrades is a jump to a 200-megapixel primary camera, similar to the one used in Samsung’s Ultra lineup. This marks a significant leap in mobile photography for foldables. Rumors also suggest that the S-Pen digitizer might be dropped to allow for a slimmer and lighter device, indicating a shift in design philosophy.

Under the hood, the Fold 7 is expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with RAM options likely ranging between 12 GB and 16 GB. It will run on One UI 8, based on Android 16, offering improved multitasking features and AI enhancements.

Despite using the same 4,400 mAh battery, better power efficiency could lead to improved real-world usage. Samsung may also unveil the Z Flip 7, a more compact foldable, and updates to the Galaxy Watch lineup at the same event.

In a surprise move, Samsung is rumored to showcase a tri-fold prototype and possibly a sneak peek at its extended reality headset, codenamed Project Moohan. All signs point to Samsung continuing to innovate at the cutting edge of mobile hardware.
