Shall I join CDAC or not | Having less than 60% ?

Well! This is one of the most difficult question I have seen students are having once they have completed Engineering, For those who are having good academic record, its very easy for them to join CDAC courses, but those who are having less than 60% marks (In any of "Engineering, 10th, 12th"), it becomes very difficult to make this decision. So, this article we (CDAC Alumni's) are writing to help all of you who are confused about your carrer after engineering.

Why a student wants to join CDAC ?

This question is having very simple answer, "To get Job", I will put this in double quotes,

In a way this is correct as every body wants to have job, but wait, Is getting JOB is the only reason for joining CDAC ? I would say "NO", The reason being, One can get JOB from any where, Like there are many walkin's that keeps happening in various institutes and there are other ways also, but what I believe is, If you have tried all these ways and still you are not having job then probably there is something wrong that you are doing, As per my experience in 80% of the cases people are not prepared enough for getting a job, They are not having that knowledge that is required for getting JOB. In some or other way they are failing somewhere. After all a company hires only those whom they believe is capable of.

So, The best answer for this quiestion is "TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE", And if you are having enough knowledge then definitly you will end up in having JOB.

What are the opportunities one gets in CDAC for placements ?

In CDAC, all the students gets various opportunities for getting placed in many companies that visits CDAC, All the companies are having different criterias of selecting students that can appear in the selection process. Campus placement occurs as a part of COMMON CAMPUS PLACEMENT PROGRAM.

Below is the brief on various selection criterias of companies visiting CDAC.

1) Students having 60% or above through out:

This is the most common criteria that companies are having and almost 50 percent of the students fall in this category gets maximum calls. But upto a certain limit (Like 25-30 calls on an average per student, It keeps changing batch wise)

2) Students having less that 60% :

Students those who are having less than 60% also gets maximum calls for appearing in selection process provided they are having good marks in CPT (That is CDAC aggregate marks), So if a student has done enough hard work and got good marks in CPT, he or she will have maximum chances of placement even if the academic record is not good enough.

Key point to remember while making decision to join CDAC :

-> Primary goal of joining CDAC should be "Attaining Knowledge", Which ultimatly will give you JOB.
-> If you are having less than 60%, You need to work even more harder once you join CDAC.
-> Don't hesitate to join CDAC if marks are not good, Because actual battle is there in CDAC's CPT exams.
-> Once you join CDAC, use "What why how" technique for cracking interviews.

After all, The best way to predict future is to do it, and dont wait for a perfect moment, Take a moment and make it perfect. This is the time, this is the moment, just join the course, work hard and create your future.

  1. Even though above article is true then why their is partiality as per cources PG-DASDM gets less calls to all students even they have good academics, their course content is same as pg-dac except android and dotnet, even their fees also same.
    It's just business.....

  2. It may be because of the popularity of any particular course, For eg: DAC course is quite popular, and visiting also have same in there minds... May be because of that, but whatever it is, this business has made many people's life.. :)

  3. Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I have scored 68.20 percentile in graduation B.Tech in CSE. But having 59% in 12th and 72% in 10th only. Should I join cdac? As most companies look for 60+% in 12th and I recently gave last entrance of cdac but secured bangalore ecity. I want to pursue DITISS course from pune acts.

    1. Dear, Frankly speaking placement for DITISS course will is lesser as compared to DAC course, But there will be many chances provided to you by placement cell in CDAC, Best thing that will happen to you once you join CDAC is that, you will attain a knowledge for you life, Moreover your attitude towards getting a job will change drastically, You will get so much confidence which will give any JOB in any part of this world, this has happened to me, and I have seen this happening to many people, We as a team of technorants point wrote this article for this purpose only, So that students will have change in attitude towards CDAC, --- ATTAIN KNOWLEDGE > GET CONFIDENCE > GET JOB (NO matter you have 60% or not) You will get success... for any such more queries please be in contact with our team !!! 4. Dear sir/mam
Can u tell me something about the PGDBA course in cdac...good for placements(to get a call atleast)?

    1. If I am not mistaken, You are asking about Post graduation diploma in Big Data Analytics, This really is the course for future, and really this is very good time to learn this, But I believe that CDAC might fail to provide that level of knowledge as far as this course is concerned, Since this course is new in CDAC you might end up in getting less calls, My suggestion to you is that you should go for some other institutes that are providing this course, For eg, SP Jain college in Mumbai provides 6 months course for PGDBA, Also, this course is offered as a full time course in IIT's and IIM's maybe in collaboration, You can always search net for more details.

Database analytics is certainly a grooming field but doing it from CDAC might not be fruitful due to vastness of the course.

      All the best :)

      Delete
    3. Yes, Some companies consider year gap while selecting students for recruitment, But still you will get ample number of opportunities. Only in 20 percent of companies you will not be eligible, rest 80 percent will be there for you as you have good academic record through out, For eg: Companies like Barclays, intellect Design Arena, Capsilon, Tavisca and many others.

  5. I just want ask that i have two years of educational gap and total 8 backlogs in engineering with the percentage of 60 aggregate... so what is the possibility of getting good calls through cdac??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If backlogs are cleared, Then you have good chances of getting calls, Provided that you get good marks in CDAC.

      Delete
  6. First of all are all your backlogs cleared ? If yes, then yes you have very good chances in CDAC provided you work hard in CDAC and get good marks in CDAC, Some companies might discard you for recruitment as you have gap of 2 years, but most of the companies will consider you and there is actually a great possibility that you will fetch a job in CDAC.

    1. It really depends on and individual's interest like which course you want to join, But fact is that PG-DAC course is best of the lot since it provides better placement prospects.
As far as marks are concerned, You don't really need to worry about that, You can join CDAC, Work hard there and get good marks in internal CPT exams, Many companies consider only CPT marks and provide placement opportunity.

Just believe in yourself, There is nothing that you can't do if you really want to do.

  10. Hi,

There are lots of ups and down's in an individual's life, At the end what count's is that weather you have learned from your mistakes or not, And if you have really learned and chosen right path, you should go ahead with that.

Since, you like coding and programming, There can't be any place better than CDAC for you. In any case you should join it, as they are going to brush up your skills. Once you join CDAC, Work hard there, get good marks in internal CPT exams and you will get many calls from various companies.

Just keep in mind, At end of the day companies choose those student whom they find are capable, not the one's who are having good marks but not capable.

Believe in yourself, There is nothing that is impossible.

    All the Best

    Thanks and Regards

    1. First of all it depends what is your interest, You want to pursue PG DAC course or DESD ? If you you are getting a choice that is opposite of what you want, Then its an straight away NO, But if this is what you want ... Then Go for it, Percentage dont really matter, You will get enough exposure to get placed.

  13. Hi,

    I am a 2016 passout, E&TC branch.
My B.E aggregate is 59.36%. I am actually very confused which cdac course to choose.
I've heard DAC is the best course to do, as I am from electronics background I am scared to choose this course as my programming knowledge is not very good.
Cdac has recently introduced a new course i.e PG-IoT and I've done a certification course in embedded systems where it included a little of IoT in the syllabus.
So I'm very confused which one to choose DAC or IoT.

    Thank you.

  14. Hi Dear,

It all depends on your interest, If you think that you like programming more than other things, Then definitely go for DAC course, as it's the best course, Just choose whatever you like.

In case you join DAC COURSE, I have seen people doing far better who from branches other than CS IT, Even if you don't have programming knowledge, you can join DAC course as they will teach you everything there, Just see that you join a decent centre.

    All the best

      Hi,

There is no course wise criteria when companies come for placements, There are different types of companies coming to CDAC placements having different mindsets, Some are having criteria 60% through out, while some look for good CPT score, Some also comes with 50% criteria like Barclays. Mostly companies come for DAC course, and companies for DAC and other courses are different.
So, you cant really predict, what company is coming and what criteria its having, But one thing is sure that you will get enough calls, so that you can get placed.

      Thanks

You should join CDAC, if you feel that you are not technically capable enough to crack the interviews, Or you are capable enough but not getting enough calls, being a fresher...

CDAC can be a great platform for you to start of boost your carrier.
