Dataflex a low-code platform introduced by Microsoft into Microsoft Teams

Microsoft today announced the availability of Microsoft Dataflex, a low-code data platform built directly into Microsoft teams.

Microsoft Dataflex provides relational database management directly within Microsoft teams. Built over Microsoft Common Data Services, Dataflex lets users easily combine databases, Microsoft Power Apps, and AI chatbots with Microsoft's Power Virtual Agents — without switching between different applications. It sports a drag and drop interface as well as a simple interface for database management to create conversation flow.

Apps developed within teams are inherently responsive, meaning they will automatically tailor the viewing experience for web, tablet, desktop and mobile. For commonly used tasks, developers can create custom app templates and share them within the organization.

Team members can obtain automatic permissions through their membership, or they can be custom-customized by the team owner. In addition, applications can be deployed with one click.

DataFlex, the foundation for Common Data Services, has now been renamed to Microsoft DataFlex Pro.

DataFlex, with Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents in Teams, will be rolled out in a public preview in August. While there is no official release date, they will be available to select Microsoft 365 and Office 365 users at no additional cost.
