What’s open and closed in London for Canada Day 2021 ?
Canada Day is a Thursday and that means many are closed for the statutory holiday in the City of London, Ont.
Below is a list of what is open and closed:

- Mustang and Starlight Drive-in Movie Theater (Highland Cinema's drive-in opens Saturdays)

ug Mart locations: 510 Hamilton Rd., 1225 Wonderland Rd. N (Sherwood Forest Mall), and 1224 Commissioner Road. W (Byron) - Multiple restaurants, bars (check ahead of time; outside dining with only six per-table limit under COVID-19 restrictions)
- The following beer store locations: 414 Wharcliffe Rd. S (drive-thru only), 1199 Oxford St W, and 1080 Adelaide St N.
- Labatt Brewery Retail Store (10am-5pm)
- London Transit will operate on holidays.
The city's two main COVID-19 assessment centers are at Carling Heights Optimist Center and Oakridge Arena. The facilities will remain open and operate with normal hours. Test booking by phone will not be available on Thursday.
Hundreds are also expected to gather in Victoria Park on Thursday for the Turtle Island Healing Walk.
The move comes amid growing discourse of injustice against indigenous peoples after the remains of 215 children were discovered at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, BC. and an estimated 751 unmarked graves on the site of a residential school in Saskatchewan.

Those who want to socialize with friends or family are being reminded of restrictions as part of the province's three-stage reopening plan.
As of Wednesday, the province is in Phase 2, allowing indoor gatherings with a maximum of five people and outdoor gatherings with a maximum of 25. (Health officials still recommend that you avoid gatherings with people, especially indoors, if not from your home.)
