Google Stadia is closing this mortal coil on January 18th, but thankfully, Google is offering a refund for anyone who buys Stadia hardware or games from the Stadia Store. Google has made an official statement with details about the Stadia platform and when users can expect a refund, but here is a summary of what we know so far.

Stadia will run until January 18th, and by then you'll have access to your games, giving you the opportunity to transfer progress and add other loose ends. However, Google has disabled the Stadia storefront, so you won't be able to make any additional purchases.

If you have purchased any of the following hardware from the Google Store or made game purchases or in-game transactions in the Stadia Store, you can expect a full refund:

While Google hasn't provided an exact timeline of when you can expect a refund, it expects to address most refunds by mid-January 2023.
