This is the exact type of break you should take when working from home - Says Fast Company
Working too much is one thing, especially when working from home can distort your sense of time. Scheduled breaks are crucial to avoid exhaustion, but did you know that you can also relax badly?
According to Fast Company, the type of breaks you take is just as important as when and how often you take them. The winter air can be cold, but try to get some fresh air when you can - go for a walk, stand outside. Fast Company said that even if you have looming deadlines, retiring from your desk will improve your ability to work.
For when you have too much on your plate, describing your daily workload to someone can alleviate some of that stress. Chat with a family member, friend, coworker, or anyone who is willing to help you. But remember to reciprocate in kind!
However, whatever you do, Fast Company recommends not checking your emails during your break. It can be tempting to see what the last notification was among your daily workload, but that's the cognitive equivalent of sipping shots of whiskey while you work. It will be difficult to refocus your attention on your normal flow once your break is over.
